Sisters Trip

Just a glimpse of the trip that I took last winter with my little sis and our friends. We decided to travel around Western Europe a bit.
(Probably the most expensive trip I've ever been to *cries*)

However, I still enjoy the trip so much.

London was gloomy and sometimes its raining, but still the city is so pretty. We did a lot of fun things around London and shop till our shoulders drop at the Oxford Street.
Brussels also welcome us with light shower on and off.
Bruges on the other hand is wonderful. The medieval town is looking magical and dreamy. We take a cruise to go around the water canals. Stopped by at the shops selling Belgian laces and chocolates. (basically just stared at the shop windows and stuffed ourselves with crunchy hot french fries)
Amsterdam got us in awe. I love the fact that the city is so convenient to go around by bicycle. Spent a lot of time in the city, went to Albert market to taste fresh made Stroop waffles and cold pressed juice. I even had a chance to get some impulse purchase done at the very last minute.

Being able to travel with my sis is a huge blessing, seeing that I only have 2 years left here. I'm glad that we decided to do this together.

Writing this post in order to recap on the trip and reminiscing the great time we spent together. Unexpected events, twists and turns (huhuhu) we made through it all safely. Alhamdulillah

Old Letter

Hi, I'm Mardhiah

I'm a girl who currently live in the town of dust
just a typical life of student
a med student
thats what I am
meds?
yeah, meds
one of the field people believe that is promising
promised you jobs and money
naaaah
its more than just that
studying meds
year by year I realize the important of being
uhm  a very well being person

a doctor do a lot of things involving more than just a diagnosis and prescriptions
we do more than just attending patients
we cater patients needs, to recover in and out
sick people have more than just physical complaints and stuff
they are human with hearts
and sometimes to treat people with hearts
you need to give the best from yours first

I just need to digest all these
time flies
and now I'm in the third year
the feeling of becoming a graduatee 4 years later
is so thrilling and fascinating
but sickening at the same time

me as a regular teenager
found out there is more than  just being a student
we have a lot to prepare ourselves
with
such as wonderful communications skill
having an amazing memorizing skill
very passionate and curious of things
and literally healthy and strong yeap

I don't know what the future holds
but I gather all my yesterdays and today
to achieve what I've been dreaming of
the day may finally comes
you will be stronger day by day
for you to say
I lived it all

---------------------------------------------------------------
started to write it during my third yr, and tonight
i'm struggling to find the decent words to end this

Throwback #1 Western Europe

Sometimes,
you just need to pause and look back
to reflect on things you've done so far.

* * * * *

Breathtaking view on my way to Bruges.
I enjoyed every sec of the train journey, as we passed by the small towns, houses with nice backyard and green farms.
Bruges is a very beautiful town, full of medieval buildings and there are water canals running throughout the town.
Falling in love with the serenity in Bruges
Hoping that I could come back someday.

The Shirt

Hello world!

Peace be upon you! Yes, you. The one who are reading this right now.
Hello there.

Life is running faster than I think. It runs at the pace that I don't think I can catch up. Not until I reach some point of endurance.

Yesterday, the owner of the house (we refer him as Baba) came to see the light bulbs in my room which has been burnt off since last 2 weeks (can't recall the last time I read my textbook under enough light). While he was talking with the electrician as he fix the lamps, I was there and listening to everything (trying hard to translate everything in my mind though)
As far as I understand, they was talking about the daughter of the electrician whom seems to be in trouble marriage and struggling with life problems. Baba asked him how many daughters left with him (if I'm not mistaken) and he said 2 more. They expressed their worries through du'a phrase (Rabbuna khallikoo). I bet that every dad could relate. Even any parents are more than could.

Suddenly, I miss my dad. Thus, the orange shirt for today. (wear 'em to class this morning)

My dad have words on the clothes we're buying. (of course since he'll be the one who paid for it) However, since I'm getting my shopping done by myself these days, he rarely got to do that for me anymore.

This orange shirt got her own story. My dad bought me the shirt during his trip to Melaka 2 yrs ago. My kakak was asking him to buy one specific shirt at Uniqlo (since there's no Unilqo in Trg) but he returned home with one extra shirt although mine was not from the same store.

I first thought that the colour was too vibrant, and the lacey was sweet but just too fancy for my age. However, I still bring it with me here, cos deep down in my heart I know that the shirt somehow make me feel the warmness of a father love.

I guess we will never understand our parents worries and concerns. Not until we become one.
Till then, lets be kind to our parents and always be the best daughter/son to them.

O Allah, grant our parents your Jannah. Amin.

During last winter trip, in our hostel room in Prague.
